Do Booster Pads Work?
Not getting enough absorbency from your adult diapers? If the answer is no, then it might be time to add an extra layer of protection – and Booster Pads are the solution!
Founded in 2020, Incontrol Diapers aims to provide the best incontinence products to restore freedom and joy by helping adults discreetly deal with urine and bowel voids. Here’s everything you need to decide if Booster Pads are the right fit for your incontinence.
What Is a Diaper Booster?
A diaper booster (or a Booster Pad) offers an extra layer of absorbency to your incontinence product. You can place it in a disposable or reusable diaper, also absorbent underwear or a waterproof diaper cover – depending on your incontinence level and preference. They are ideal for managing all forms of incontinence.
What Is Different About Incontrol’s Booster Pad?
Incontrol’s Booster Pads are an ideal companion to enhance the capacity of lower-absorbency products, and they can provide additional security for nighttime wear.
They hold up to 1300ml of absorbency, in addition to the diaper’s saturation capacity.
Thanks to its flow-through design, the Booster Pad allows fluids to absorb through the padding and into the disposable diaper, expanding the longevity of the diaper.
The pads are unscented, soft to the skin, and tailored to fit between the standing leg guards on most adult briefs (22 inches long and 5 inches wide). The adhesive strip on the pads prevents it from sliding within the product so you can be confident in your protection staying put.
How To Use a Booster Pad
Booster Pads arrive in a sealed package. Pull the package open and remove the pad, then pull off the protective seal from the adhesive strip.
The Booster Pad works best when paired with a product that has a waterproof backing.
Booster Pads are used in conjunction with incontinence products to add extra absorbency or protection.
The pad will go inside the disposable or reusable product (such as a disposable diaper, absorbent underwear, pull-ups, or a waterproof diaper cover) – as long as it has a waterproof backing.
Place the Booster Pad between the leg guards of the diaper.
This is where the pad is naturally meant to rest in the diaper. If you choose to adhere it to a different location, you’ll run the risk of the pad swelling with liquid and expanding, which might open the leg guard of the diaper and cause a leak. So please place the Booster Pad where it’s meant to fit within the diaper – between the leg guards.
Benefit from the flow-through design.
With its flow-through design, Booster Pads are not a replacement for a diaper. The Booster Pad is designed to absorb wettings and allow them to flow into the disposable diaper or reusable product. The purpose of this design is to increase the longevity of the incontinence product you are wearing.
How Do Incontinence Pads Stay in Place?
Incontrol’s Booster Pads have an adhesive backing that sticks to the diaper when placed, so you can feel confident that the pad will not shift as you move about your day.
Should I Change My Pad Every Time I Pee?
While we recommend changing pads whenever you are ready to change your diaper or absorbent underwear, some users will immediately replace their Booster Pad after a wetting to increase the longevity of the more expensive product – the diaper.
Does a Booster Pad Only Work With a Diaper?
Depending on your incontinence level, you might be interested in wearing a Booster Pad alone, which you can do in combination with a waterproof layer such as a diaper cover, liner, or absorbent underwear.
