How U.S. Tariffs Will Affect Incontrol Diapers: Important Update

Trade dynamics between the United States and Canada are changing with the introduction of new Trump tariffs. As the situation continues to develop, this post will be updated with the latest information about how these tariffs might impact our customers.

The U.S. government has announced that it is changing import regulations and reducing the De Minimis Threshold. As a result, Incontrol Diapers will be temporarily pausing all shipments to the U.S. starting April 30th at 12 AM ET while we evaluate better long-term options for our valued U.S. customers. The US government has announced that tariffs are in effect as of March 4th, 2025. However, our customers can order like they did before the tariffs were put in place, as long as orders do not exceed an $800 value - due to the US Government reinstating $800 de minimis for all packages under $800. Prime Minister Trudeau and President Trump had a meeting on February 3, 2025 to explore the possibility of stopping these tariffs from taking effect.

The imposed tariffs have been pushed for at least 30 days.

This pause includes the new Trump Tariffs and halts Canada’s retaliation – by implementing its own tariffs and bans on U.S. alcohol sales north of the border. We hope the tariffs (on both sides) will be dropped in the next few weeks before a continental trade war occurs.
